About GTS

The Gilgal Theological Seminary is a mission-minded institution, emphasizing evangelism to the lost and poor. Seminary objectives are to:

  • Train and transform seminarians into exemplary evangelists, church planters, missionaries, pastors, and educators
  • Prepare students for church ministries and worldwide missions
  • Impart a thorough knowledge of the Bible
  • Aid students in spiritual formation
  • Offer practical experience in rural evangelism and church planting

GTS initially offered a three-year Bachelor of Theology and Church Planting. Now, the seminary has bloomed with a tremendous growth of academic credibility with a special emphasis on practical ministry.

As the seminary grew, we began to offer more degrees which now include: Diploma in Theology, Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity, Master of Theology in Mission and Religion Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy in Mission and Religion Philosophy.

Besides theological training, GTS also trains students in various technical skills. The campus is developed day by day with modern education amenities. All the courses offered in GTS are designed around the ultimate goal of reaching the unreached villages and cities of India for Christ and planting churches.

GTS has obtained accreditation from International Association For Theological Accreditation.

We the Gilgal Theological Seminary is also giving training to the students in the field of practical ministry . The Gilgal Theological Seminary students and staff will prepare the food for the poor peoples who are in the street unable to buy food for livelihood and also in the hospitals and provide it to them by sharing Godís love.


GTS is located at Kirathoor in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, South India. It is around 45 Km far from Trivandrum International Airport, Kerala. It is one of the developing villages in South India. People of varied caste, religious creed and different socioeconomic background reside here.


To take the Gospel with a single purpose and deep passion, to the multitudes that have never had an opportunity to hear and recruit young men and women to plant disciple making churches in the unreached villages in India.
